Come and enjoy a stroll through the Shakespeare Gardens and learn about some of the 175 plants featured in his 38 plays and 154 sonnets. End your experience in the garden by getting a glimpse of the plans for the garden restoration to begin in the fall of 2024.
Our Garden will be 100 years in 2027 and includes many snippets of local history, that includes works by Grant Wood, Marvin Cone, and the first piece of public art in cedar rapids. William Woods, City Parks superintendent for 40 years, brought the English Style Gardens to Cedar Rapids.
