“She was someone who was always ready to say, ‘Why not?!’ … She was a role model to me and my entire family.”
— Gilda, daughter of Anna Maybee Epling
Anna Maybee Epling
Anna Maybee Epling was the type of person who was always ready to say, “Why not?!” She was progressive her entire life; she attended Wharton when women did not, protested the Vietnam War, and worked for women’s rights.
Anna met people where they were. She celebrated her sobriety for nearly 40 years and spent many decades professionally and personally helping addicts and their families with recovery.
Gilda, her daughter, says, “She was a role model to me and my entire family. We miss her terribly.”
Anna passed away on International Women’s Day - a day most fitting for her life and legacy.
